VISDEX Terms of Use

Welcome to VISDEX. By using the app, you agree to these terms of use. Please read them carefully.

1. About VISDEX

VISDEX is a fish logbook and community app, offered by VISDEX (KvK 86629409). With VISDEX you log catches, build a collection, share with fishing buddies and take part in fishing competitions.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use VISDEX. If you are under 16, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
  • You are responsible for the information you enter and for keeping your login details secret.
  • You provide honest information and do not pretend to be someone else.

3. Rules of conduct and user-generated content

Zero tolerance for objectionable behaviour. VISDEX includes features that let you share content and chat with others. Objectionable, abusive, threatening, hateful, illegal or spam content is not allowed, and neither is harassment of other users.

As a user, you agree that you will:

  • not post content or send messages that are offensive, illegal, misleading or infringing;
  • respect other users and not harass them;
  • not post false catches or records with the intention of misleading others in competitions.

Moderation: you can report objectionable content or users ("Report") and block users within the app. We review reports and may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. We aim to review reported content within a reasonable time.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post (such as your catches and photos). By sharing content publicly, you give VISDEX permission to show that content within the app and — as described in the privacy policy — to use it anonymously in our own community communications, including social media.

5. Privacy

You can read how we handle your data in our privacy policy. Your locations and catches are private by default; you decide what you share.

6. VISDEX Pro

Some VISDEX features are only available with a VISDEX Pro subscription. The rest of the app remains free.

Purchase and payment. You take out VISDEX Pro through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). You see the price and the term (month or year) in the app before you confirm. Payment is made through your Apple or Google account, and the terms of Apple or Google also apply to it.

Free trial. We sometimes offer a free trial. You see how long it lasts in the app before you confirm. You can only get a free trial once. If you do not cancel before the end of the free trial, your subscription becomes a paid subscription.

Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the price that applies at that time, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The amount is charged within 24 hours before the end of the period.

Cancelling. You cancel in the subscription settings of your Apple ID or Google Play account. In the app you will find a link to them under Settings and on the Pro page. After cancelling, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, according to their policies. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Price changes. If we change the price, you will hear about it in advance through Apple or Google. Where the law or the store requires it, you must first give your consent before the new price applies.

Right of withdrawal. By starting a subscription, you ask us to provide the Pro features immediately. Insofar as the right of withdrawal applies, you agree that it lapses as soon as provision begins; the rules of Apple and Google continue to apply.

7. Availability and liability

We do our best to make VISDEX work well, but we offer the app "as is". We are not liable for damage resulting from the use of the app, for incorrect catch or weather information, or for the actions of other users, to the extent permitted by law. Always follow the applicable fishing laws and rules; VISDEX does not replace them.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account). We may terminate an account that breaks these terms.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. The most recent version is always on this page. If you continue to use the app, you agree to the changed terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Dutch law.
